Perfectly Flawed
This video (http://youtu.be/1IAhDGYlpqY) has been making it’s way around. I’ve seen it on everyone’s fb and tumblr, so i finally decided to watch it today. It’s AMAZING. I’d recommend it to anyone that has ANY little bit of faith inside of them; to ANYONE who believes in ANYTHING. it made me think back to this post i wrote a year ago about how God has created us perfectly. It was one of my most thought out ones. but when time came to post, tumblr did one of those temporairly unavailable things and it was lost for forever. BOOOO i never really got the inspiration to rewrite it until today. but it’ll be a shortened one
I believe we are all created perfectly flawed. Each and everyone one of us has insecurities and flaws; regardless of how confident and comfortable one comes across because it’s what makes us human. I think the reason for this is that our flaws make us humble. They are there for us to realize that we all make mistakes, we all have our imperfections and that we are no better than anyone else. Some of us know this, and others don’t. Sometimes we just forget, and that’s when we judge others by their flaws (Even I forget sometimes, and make quick judgments about people). But why are we flawed? We are always striving to be better, to be the best of the best and comparing ourselves to others or worried about what others may think of us.
Our insecurities, flaws and imperfections are meant to humble us. I think we’re purposely created this way. I remember in Theology, I learned that God has the ability to make everything good; to perform miracles and to make things in life perfect… But he doesn’t. He allows traumatic events, hardships, flaws, mistakes and struggles so that we may know God; because without those hardships, we would not know what a good life would be like. He provides these experiences for us so that we may learn and grow and strive to be better. I think it’s the same with our flaws and insecurities. He purposely creates us in this way so that we may know that we are not “all that” and that we must be humble and remember that we have so much to learn and grow. No one is better than another simply because of our flaws because we were all created the same. Whether we are too short, too tall, cross-eyed, or we have trust issues, mistakes, or poor judgment or we’re straight, bi or gay; we’re all the same. He made no mistakes when creating us; in his eyes, we were created perfectly. We are created perfectly flawed
